Winter Soap Box

I heard about this box in October when one of my favorite youtubers did a review of their Halloween themed box. Signing up used to be super complicated and difficult, but in November the changed it and as a result I was able to get one of these highly coveted boxes. After falling in love with LUSH I've been into soap and body products, so I was way stoked for this. Reviews, pictures, and more info about ordering after the jump.

This box is billed and sent quarterly, which means that four times a year you can get a box full of awesome stuff from the Fortune Cookie Soap company. Typically the boxes are themed to go along with the season.

This box was Grinch themed!
First look

Informational card with product details.

Pinch of Grinch Whipped Cream

This is a sample of a body butter sold by FCS. It smells like a mixture of lime and vanilla and made my skin feel super soft. You don't need a lot either, which means that this sample will last me a least a couple of full body uses.

Goody Goody Gum Drops

At first I had no idea what these were for. I was searching around on on FCS's website and discovered they are body conditioning bars. You rub one all over yourself after a shower but don't wash it off. It's supposed to make your skin soft and leave it smelling good. I haven't had a chance to try one of these out yet, but the definitely smell lovely. They smell just like Dots.

Cheer Monger Body Wash

I love this body wash. It smells exactly like chocolate and the smell lasts for quite a long time when you use it. Definitely one of my favorite things in the box.

Cindy Lou Who Roll On Perfume

This perfume was okay, one of the two things that I wasn't super crazy about in the box. It smells like a little girl perfume which I'm not really fond of. It's sweet and candy smelling. Plus, it doesn't last for a very long time once it's on the skin. (Also it just turns to vanilla, which is my biggest battle with perfumes.)

Whobilation OCD

This is an adorable, pursed hand santizer with little pieces of glitter in it. It smells a little bit like cherry, but you can still make out the typically alcohol smell of most hand sanitizers. I'm not a huge fan of glitter on my skin, but it's not horribly packed with glitter, so it works for me.

Dear Santa, I Can Explain Personal Space

This is an ~odor neutralizer and at first I definitely wasn't crazy about it. It smells like pine trees and tangerines and I thought that was a gross combination. However, I ended up spraying it in my room just to try it out and I ended up loving it. The smell is unique but nice and I looove that it's not really sweet smelling like most of the other things in the box.

Naughty or Nice Bath Fizzy

When I first got this out of the bag I liked it a lot. The packaging is cute and I'm a pretty big fan of bath fizzes in general. However, I used it the night after I got this box and I was hugely disappointed. It didn't really fizz, it just dissolved, and it left a gross ring around my tub. Plus, it stained my skin and I don't even think it really did anything. Definitely the biggest let-down on the box.

Holiday Cheermeister Fortune Cookie Soap

I love this thing. It smells like cinnamon and cake and is adorable. One thing that I didn't think was great about it was how small it is (plus the inside is hollow), so I'm not sure that it will last a very long time. However, it got my skin squeaky clean and left the nice scent on my skin. Definitely a fan.

Overall I'm pretty pleased with this box. It is a little bit more expensive than the other subscription box that I get, but since it's so specific to what you receive I think it's worth the value. Plus, with every box you get a ten dollar off coupon code that can be applied toward any purchase at FCS.

If you'd like to sign up for the spring box, do so here before February 15th.
